Green Resilience Project
Environmental & FSL

The "Green Resilience" Project

Objective: Combat food insecurity through climate-smart agricultural techniques.

  • Distribution of "Resilience Kits" — drought-resistant seeds and modern tools
  • Large-scale reforestation to prevent soil erosion
  • Sustainable irrigation training in Unity and Upper Nile States
Impact Goal: 5,000 households achieving food self-sufficiency by 2027

Health / WASH

Integrated Health & Nutrition Surge

Objective: Reduce child mortality rates through mobile and stationary health outposts in destitute regions.

  • Establishing Nutrition Outpatient Therapeutic Programs (OTP)
  • Solar-powered borehole rehabilitation to ensure clean water at health sites
  • Maternal health workshops and routine child immunizations
Impact Goal: 100% treatment rate for Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) in target counties

Child Protection / GBV

The "Protection Shield" Initiative

Objective: Create safe environments for women and children in conflict-affected areas.

  • Setting up Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) for psychosocial support
  • GBV survivor response — medical referrals and legal aid
  • Community-led awareness campaigns to end harmful social norms
Impact Goal: Functional, community-based protection network in every DOS-E operational area

WASH

WASH for Schools & Communities

Objective: Eliminate water-borne diseases through improved infrastructure and behaviour change.

  • Construction of gender-segregated latrines in local schools
  • Hygiene promotion via Boma Health Initiative (BHI) volunteers
  • Establishing "Water Management Committees" for infrastructure maintenance
Impact Goal: Zero open defecation in target schools and communities
